A little shameless cross-promoting…

First and entirely off-topic, I’d like to force-feed you a sample of a lurid little comic strip called Red Meat (from the secret files of Max Cannon) You can find his entire collection at www.redmeat.com That being taken care of, allow me to introduce to you the fantastic print and online publications of which I have the pleasure of being involved.
WHITEHOT MAGAZINE OF CONTEMPORARY ART — Conceived by my friend and colleague, Noah Becker, this prestigious publication provides extensive coverage of the international contemporary art scene with over 130 correspondents in Amsterdam, Berlin, Dublin, Los Angeles, London, Montreal, New York, Paris, San Francisco, Tokyo, Toronto, Vancouver, Venice, Victoria and Zurich. Whitehot has a booth at the NADA (New Art Dealers Alliance) Art Fair in Miami from December 4th to 8th, ‘07 and will feature Noah Becker, Jan Van Woensel and Greggory Bradford.
CHAOTIC MODULATION — While still currently existing as the blog, YabbaDabbaHubbaDo.com, this brainchild of Q-TV’s ‘QUEEREDGE’ star Jack E. Jett will launch with its new name as a full-scale e-zine in January. Celebrity contributors such as Julie Brown, Jerri Manthey, Jeff Gannon, Michael “Brownie” Brown, Belinda Carlisle and Sandra Bernhard will match wit and rhetoric with ‘lessers’ like myself as we knock around issues, opinions and agendas.
STYLE REPUBLIC MAGAZINE — Founded by Editorial Director Brittany Law, Vancouver’s largest online publication highlights creative innovations through interviews with leading fashion, entertainment and lifestyle professionals. With a talented stable of journalists and photgraphers from around the world, it celebrates a growing social scene, satisfying the search for emmerging culture on a global scale.
TRAJAN MAGAZINE FOR MEN — Launching January ‘08, this LA-based publication espouses 1st Amendment politics as a vehicle to addressing male culture and lifestyle, highlighting political commentary pieces while catering to the requisite gender-based expectations of it’s readership.
THE METROPOLITAN MAGAZINE — What started as a poster-zine (for Steve Webb’s Imetropol) catering to Victoria BC’s burgeoning music scene has matured into an edgy, progressive monthly. It focuses on the art, music and (sub)culture of the ever-growing Vancouver Island undercurrent.
ACTORS HELPING ACTORS (.com) – This LA-based online publication is a networking-vehicle for working actors and industry aspirants wishing to gain the exposure and contacts necessary to furthering their careers. It is committed to building a supportive infrastructure by providing inspiring and informative copy and reporting.
Look for regular updates as I appear in these fantastic publications and again, please don’t hesitate to check out the links and enjoy my colleagues exceptional work as well.
Cheers,
DKP
